Hostile environment protection for LCD & DLP Video Projectors

 

 

The hostile environment created by high temperatures, moisture and airborne particles like smoke caused early failure of the image quality or the projector itself.

The Protector provides total control of the projector's environment. Constructed to the highest industrial standards using proven technologies the Protector eliminates all condensates from the projector's working environment and maintains the air within the cabinet at the optimum working temperature.

Construction Details

The Protector is constructed on a sectional stainless steel chassis with vinyl bonded steel panels.

The projection chamber walls are of a double wall construction- the inner also being of a stainless material. An insulating thermal barrier is used to fill the cavity created. A series of shake proof ‘aircraft’ nuts are provided on each side of the upper chassis frame to provide a fixing for the standard mounting bracket provided or other rigging.

The projector chamber incorporates a high pressure fan assisted refrigeration condenser. A drain tube is provided to allow any condensates that may develop to trickle safely to the floor pan. Please note that once sealed the humidity of the chamber will rapidly stabilise and further condensation is highly unlikely.

The device comprises of two compartments. The front sealed compartment has five insulated panels and a single double glazed ‘port’ through which the projected light beam emerges.

The glass of the port is treated with anti-reflection coatings to minimise internal reflection which would otherwise introduce optical distortion.
