Nexnix - POP Rear Projector Screens

Apart from optical rear projection screens, POP are manufacturing transparent holographic type screens. These screens are clear cast acrylic screens containing a special micro-lens structure within the screen material. These homogeneously distributed micro-lenses are able to catch and scatter the light from the projector and in such a way that a crisp image is formed inside the screen, and giving the illusion of a three dimensional representation and yet, the screen remain transparent, allowing the viewer also to see through the picture/screen and observe objects at the projector and other side of the screen.

The purpose of a Holoscreen is to allow projected pictures to “float” in the midair and not having to look at a massive - non-transparent - traditional rear or front projection screen material. Because of these novel features, the Holoscreen is perfectly adapted for eye-catching digital signage in shops, museums, showrooms, exhibitions and many more.

All projector types known today can be used with this unique screen – of course care should be taken when mounting the screen/projector that the light beam from the projector should be kept away from the eyes of the viewer not to disturb this. The Holoscreen itself is indifferent to the projection angle and actually, the most homogeneous light distribution is obtained when shooting on-axis. However, more often than not, an off-axis constellation is chosen. This also gives the possibility to “hide” the projector and keep the focus on the screen.

Holoscreen can be supplied in traditional formats like 4:3 or 16:9 ratios, but circular or designer shaped and laser cut screens are readily available
